Maruten Ramen in Auckland

"I visited this ramen spot with my family and it absolutely blew us away. The service was top-notch, the staff even noticed my ramen soup might be too salty and kindly offered an extra cup of broth to balance the flavor, which was a really thoughtful touch. My kids loved their teriyaki chicken on rice, and the restaurant was very clean and comfortable. The portions were generous and the prices were very reasonable. I would strongly recommend giving this place a try."

"I tried ramen for the first time in my life in this place and I loved it! The location is in a really good area, easy to reach, and the restaurant is well-kept inside and very clean. The service was very nice, the waiters were super kind and well organized, such as the owner himself. The food was amazing and the ingredients were of excellent quality. Who wants to try a real japanese culinar experience for the first time or who is already a japanese food lover must go to Maruten Ramen. Highly recommended, beautiful experience!"

"Best ramen in town!!! Verry tasty fresh handmade noodles and tonkotsu broth. Also karaage was amazing crispy and delicious taste. Edamame was also verry good. Staff was so friendly and respectfull. We totally would recommand it to anyone who also visiting auckland. Tomo Arigato gozaimasu"

"I enjoyed a delicious and tasty tonkotsu ramen $19. Excellent customer service. Staff are welcoming, friendly, kind and considerate. Excellent authentic Japanese menu. I returned on 04/03/2026 to the Maruten Ramen restaurant for some pork dumpling (5 pieces) $9.80, takoyaki (5 pieces) $9.80, okonomi-yaki $15.80. All dishes were delicious and tasty."

"We recently visited Maruten Ramen, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The menu offers a great selection of ramen, with options to suit everyone—including vegetarians and vegans—which was a huge plus for our group. The service was friendly and efficient, and even though we were a large group of seven, it never hindered the quality of the food or the attentiveness of the staff. Everything arrived promptly and tasted fantastic. Parking nearby is surprisingly easy, making the visit even more convenient. Overall, Maruten Ramen is a warm, welcoming spot with delicious food and great service. Highly recommended!"

"First time dining here and we will definitely be back! We ordered the Tonkotsu Chasu ramen and the Red Dragon ramen. The broth, noodles and pork were all delicious. I also felt like the portion was generous. We also ordered the fried wontons and a pineapple sochu high ball (summer specials). All of the food was 10/10. The service was also fast and friendly, we were even given a free appetiser (not pictured) and also free ice cream! It was a great meal and it reminded us of the small ramen eateries we ate at when visiting Japan. The price was reasonable for the quality of food and service and we can’t wait to visit again."

"We absolutely enjoyed our experience here! The pork broth was so pure and soothing to have when it was a little chilly in the evening. They are open relatively late, too, which is nice. The staff were very welcoming and very quick to serve us. We ordered fried squid and two ramen (Red Dragon and the Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen). The fried squid was nicely cooked with a nice crispy batter, plated neatly on some greens with lemon and mayo on the side. The ramen was well topped with meat and veges. I really liked the spice of the Red Dragon, which I have found quite rare in most ramen restaurants in Auckland. It had a great kick to it. The noodles were also perfectly cooked, not overdone. The food did not take too long to come out, and the staff were good at checking in. Overall, I would love to visit again and try more from their menu."
